Chorley art group member reaches the finals of Lancashire Artist of the Year 2023
Pat Richardson, a talented member of thriving local art group Lodge Artists, was chosen from 150 entries across the county to be one of 12 finalists in the Lancashire Artist of the Year 2023 competition with her painting in mixed media ‘Bleak Midwinter’. The painting will appear in the 2024 calendar, along with the work of the other 11 finalists, which will be on sale in all Lancashire County Council libraries. The proceeds from the sale of the calendar will go towards activities to support Lancashire care leavers The winner was Martin Williamson, for his painting ‘Lytham Hall Gateway’ which secured the most votes from the public and will feature on the front cover. Pat’s painting previously won the ‘People’s Choice’ award, voted for by visitors to Lodge Artists’ 44th Annual Exhibition in the Courtyard Gallery, Astley Park last November.
The original painting has been sold but Pat is now offering a limited edition ‘giclee’ print run of 20, framed, ready to hang, signed and with Certificate of Authenticity which can be viewed here.
