Kate Collins
Kate Collins is a much-loved Northern British Naïve artist painting in egg tempera and oils and making ceramics finished in precious metal lustres and enamel.
Her main influences are a passion for the countryside and the vintage ‘Fairyland’ ware produced by Wedgwood in the 1930s.
Kate’s work features in many private national and international collections. She has an entry in Who’s Who in Art, is a member of the Association of British Naïve Artists and the Manchester Academy of Fine Art.
Her work combines both enchanted memories with a rich sense of decoration.
Helen Worthington
Helen Worthington is a collected North West England-based landscape, bird and animal artist who paints in watercolour, ink, line and wash, acrylics and pastels.
Her favourite locations are found on the island and islands around Anglesey where she spent much of her childhood.
One of Helen’s principal themes is captured in her ‘Doorways, Gateways and Portals to Beyond’ series, featuring images where the primary subject is also the key to a distant and mysterious landscape glimpsed in the distance.
Helen is also happy to undertake pet portrait commissions.
Des Barr
Bolton-based photographer Des Barr’s life changed with the thoughtful gift of a camera from his father on his 21st birthday.
Des became passionate about nature in all its forms in both landscape observation and in his extreme close-up examination of beautiful single elements.
His use of light, realisation of colour and especially carefully controlled camera movement results in unique effects that break the bounds of standard photographic technique.
Over the years, Des has developed a wealth of knowledge and skills which truly sets him apart in the world of landscape photography.
