‘The Swan’

Commission news by Neil Baglow, 24^th September 2020

At long last the Swan is finished!

Neil has just returned from Northern Cyprus having completed the mural of the Swan mosaic at Karmi. He had intended to go out in My 2020 but the Covid crisis put an end to that plan.

Thankfully, however, he was able to make the journey in early September, spending one week in total isolation which allowed the completion of the work, ably assisted by his brother Gerald.

The working conditions were very difficult though, with daytime temperatures sometimes exceeding 40*C with high humidity and thus only really allowing work in the early morning and evening.

After nearly three years though the mural is now complete and everyone, including the client, seems very pleased with it.
